Our School

Bridgewater Primary School is a progressive school community, nestled in the beautiful Adelaide Hills.

We have around 190 children, Reception through to Year 6, and a group of talented educators who ensure children have a broad and varied educational experience. Our school believes that learners need tailored learning opportunities and time to build their understandings.

Our students are successful learners, actively involved in personally planning, managing and tracking their learning, without the distraction of comparative assessment. We are an OECD Innovative Learning Environment (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development), recognised internationally as a school that creates lifelong learners and prepares students for the 21st Century.

Strong family partnerships have helped develop our community kitchen and garden program, following work with the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation.

Recent successes include high levels of academic achievement (acknowledged by the NAPLAN), and federal, state and regional awards for community involvement, film making and sport.
